  what with the job i do and possibly my internal make-up, its really quite rare that i see something that i find moving.

  however, seeing bob geldof bring on the beautiful african lady who had 10 minutes left to live 20 years ago, who has now finished her agricultural degree in africa and has grown up due to live aid's efforts, i felt i had to post something here...

  so if you haven't been to www.live8live.com and signed the electronic petition then stop whatever you're doing and do it now!!!!!

  Highlights for me were The Who, The Killers, U2 and McCartney, and Green Day in Germany. How come that Dido woman who can't sing a note was given 3 or more songs to do, almost sending the audience into a mass coma, and the Killers only did one.

  Also made me laugh seeing the Kaiser Chiefs in Philadelphia. I'm not sure the crowd there really got them judging by the incredulous looks on their faces.

  If it all results in more democracy, better trade and less corruption in Africa then it will have been well worth it. Isn't the offer of writing off debt based on proper auditing to stop dictators spending all the money? I actually did get some sense of hope during the day that something could be done, but we'll see.

  Oh, and Mariah Careh's dress was quite impressive too.

  Anyone a fan of the KLF / Bill Drummond

  i am currently on the track of music by the klf, having just got everything associated with pink floyd.

  is anyone else a fan of klf, hell as any one else even heard of them?.

  what makes this a challenge is that bill drummond and jimmy cauty, who formed the kopyright liberation front, distroyed their entire back catalogue some years ago about the same time as they burnt 1,000,000 pounds as a work of art.

  Didn't the KLF have a number 1 single in the late 80's called 'Doctorin the Tardis' under the name of 'The Timelords' before they became the KLF? Now that's useless information.

  I remember their first hit 'what time is love' but not a lot after that.

  Buck,

  The very last district convention I went to was because my girlfriend wanted me to go. She gave me an ultimatum that I had to go back to meetings or she could not carry on seeing me. So that was the end of that. I never went to another meeting again.

  Go on the holiday. You'll meet girls there won't you?

  What possessed Trescothick to put the Ozzies in first? Surely in a day/night match you want to bat if it's a scorcher of a day and let the other team sweat it out in the field. Bad decision but those Ozzies are looking more like World Champions.

  Always has been my favourite programme. I think the new series has been great.

  Now I sit down on a Saturday night with my 5 year old daughter who loves it. She spends half the time watching from behind the sofa. It's great to see a SiFi programme where the monsters aren't just humans with wrinkly foreheads, large eyebrows or pointy ears.

  I'm a big fan of the League, seen them live and they were fantastic.

  Not seen the film though, and not sure I want to. I can imagine it's crap because I don't think it would transfer very well into to a movie. I could be wrong though.

  Saw Shaun of the Dead this week and thought that was really crap, but it seemed to do well at the box office so what do I know.
